Description

Tentrini is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Tentrini is a nutritionally complete 1kcal/ml tube feed for the dietary management of disease related malnutrition in children aged 7 - 12 years or 21 - 45kg in body weight. Tentrini is suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

Indications

For enteral use only. Tentrini is available in the Republic of Ireland under the General Medical Services (GMS) Scheme and the Drug Payment Scheme (DPS). In Northern Ireland, Tentrini is ACBS approved for the following indications: short bowel syndrome; intractable malabsorption; pre-operative preparation of undernourished patients; inflammatory bowl disease; total gastrectomy; bowel fistulae; disease related malnutrition; dysphagia; growth failure.

 

Contraindications

Not for intravenous use. Not suitable for infants under 1 year of age. Use with caution in children aged 1 - 6 years (8 - 20kg body weight). Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.

 

Directions for use

Shake well before opening, immediately prior to use at room temperature. Maximum hanging time 24 hours. Glass bottles can be decanted into a sterile reservoir, taking care to handle aseptically at all times. Nutricia Packs can be attached directly to a Flocare Pack giving set.

 

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place (5 - 25°C) and away from direct sunlight. Once opened, glass bottles should be stored in a refrigerator (<5°C) if not being used and any unused contents discarded after 24 hours.

 

Shelf Life

Glass bottles: 15 months. Pack: 12 months. Best before date: see front of pack or side of glass label.
